I mean scientific herpetological photo-collection, with photographs well categorized, by: species, subspecies, autor, month, country, gender of photographed specimen, its age (adult or juvenile). Category of: aberrations, eggs, amplexus, habitat, larva.

Is this not the essence of Marios database on Vipers Garden?

In my opinion it reminds rather gallery from social networking service than scientific photo-collection.

In my opinion, it depends on the goal of such a gallery. Showing a limited number of good shots, or "everything goes"? The latter definitely makes you end up with lo-fi stuff, but it might provide a wider range of variability?

'You' could also install a rating system (albeit by viewers or admin) to allow for filtering top-notch from less so.

I would wish for links beeing opened in new Windows/Tabs and not in the same one as the forum is (target="anythingelsethantheforum") or is that feature available somewhere in my personal options?

Sorry, this feature has been blocked by the phpBB developers since Forum version 4.0.

But you may:
In FIREFOX, GOOGLE CHROME and IE: right click on the link => open in new tab/window.

Hi,

thank you for the workaround-hints (which I wanted to avoid,...) - I hoped for a more comfortable solution!

Best Greetings
