A friend told me that he and his girlfriend were thinking of going to Trieste in the autumn and would we like to go with them, flights and accommodation seemed reasonable so I said "yes". His girlfriend then decided it would be better with just the two of them so my wife then said that we could still go there without them but I am unsure what the herping would be like as it would be the last week of October.
So where in Europe would you choose to go herping in the last week of October.

If you like salamanders, I would go for Liguria, eventhough you've been there recently. Peloponnese can be still OK, but you can never be really sure.
