Sounds tempting. I'm always jonesing so bad for a herp fix at that time of year. The rest of your destinations of course - as always - are mouth watering as well...

Oh, and btw, congrats to both of you. Have a nice trip :-)

Israel, Malta or Greece

If Texas doesn't pan out, Israel or Greece in April or May could well end up in my plans as well.

The trip to Portugal in February is already booked.
In summer I might go to Sri Lanka.
I have no other plans yet. :)

Nothing fixed yet.. :(
There are many possible trips...
Maybe I do an internship in croatia or with very much luck I go with fjällräven to the arctic
Otherwise I will make a trip to a place that is cheap and good for herping (maybe someone let me join a crew  ).
For fieldherping around the corner I want to complete my anuralist and spend more
time in the local adderpopulations.

I had planned a trip to Azerbaïdjan, Armenia and Georgia with my wife in Spring but I fear it won't be possible because she just started a new job and is not sure yet how she will be able to take days off. Otherwise, I hope to finally go to Montenegro with my friend Yannick probably in April looking for vipers. And obviously, I'll still go on with my regular spots in Switzerland. We target a concolor asp viper next year ;)

August: Once again, Pussynées - searching for stupid Iberolacertas. Still looking for voluntaries to join in ;)

If be some coincidence, a good arvalis day is followed by a good salamandra night, you should drop by. If not, also.

Spain (Sierra de Guadarrama) is sure for me in May-June as I do my research there on Iberolacerta cyreni. Hopefully, I'll have some free time to make some field-herping besides noosing my model species, since my list is still not complete in that area (Amphibians, snakes).

Also, hoping to get to Cyprus in late June (there will be a conference so this would be the main occasion of the travel).

And maybe (but just maybe) I'll have a chance to visit Albania with the Greek meadow viper working group.

But otherwise my decisions about where to go are very random, so who knows. :D
