I think that you want to visit too many places in one week.
Its better if you focus in just one

Hi Borji,

I always managed to get quite around
I just wanted to say, that I'm not restricted to Montenegro. If there's someone who visits Albania or southern Croatia we could meet as both neihbouring countries are close ;)

I only got my flights and rental car so far. So I'm still very flexible ;)

Greetings,
Mario

May's almost gone and I'm back.

I finally had a friend with me who drove down to Montenegro from Germany by car to keep company during the trip.

We had some nice days which resulted in at least 28 species. We unfortunately found 5 of these species DOR only. All in all there were many DOR herps - more than I've ever seen before.

Weather at the coast was awesome and with up to 29°C too warm for some species. In the mountains we had strong wind, lots of clounds and rain with temperatures between 6 and 13°C.

Some photos for you:

strange you did not find salamanders, their larvas are able to be found even in low elevations in remainders of streams

Nice photos Mario! Looks like you saw a good mix of species and landscapes - Dalmatolacerta were a highlight, for me.

Hi Mario,
well I already told you what I think about your trip and especially the shots taken with your new lens: AWESOME!

I really love the shot of the young V. ammodytes, only bad thing about it: I have to get that lens :D

cheers Kai
