Any idea where the pond is or anyone that might know? I've never seen a live snapper even captive...

We have Chelydra serpentina reproduction here in France. I'm working on a paper to present the data...

I didn't know they reproduced in Europe. Very interesting! Ducks and waterfowl alike beware! I really love Chelydra but I have mixed feeling about their presence in Europe. I'm looking forward to reading your paper. Please let us know when it's published.

This London one looks in a very good condition. Having in mind how far north they live/breed in their native N America (where summers are short and not so hot) I wouldn't be surprised if they are able to breed in the UK too. Although they might need exposure to harsh cold winter in order to do that which the UK lacks.
