Vipera ursinii

Postby Lennart Schmid » Thu Aug 24, 2017 10:03 pm

Hi there,
so after a successful trip to the pyrenees this year (report coming soon ;) ) I am planing to search for vipera ursinii in the next few weeks. Im still not sure where exactly, either in Italy or Croatia. Do you guys have advice for me on how to find them and in which part of their habitat they hide, which habitat overall is the best and in which of both countries my chances are greater?
Is there any technique that may help me with my search?
I know that they are very rare and hard to find, so my hopes aren´t too high, but it would be amazing to see them in their natural environment as they are one of my favorite reptiles in europe.

Thanks in advance for your advice! :)
