Status of the P. pityusensis population in Barcelona?

Postby Ilian Velikov » Thu Mar 01, 2018 3:52 pm

There is (or was?) a small introduced population of Podarcis pityusensis at Plaça de les Glòries, Barcelona. The place is very close to my work, so I decided to research a bit with the idea to go there and see this species. However, at the moment Plaça de les Glòries is a building site, completely demolished with big cranes and other machines and little more than ruble laying around. Does anyone know what happened to the lizards there? Maybe we should delete that little dot from the distribution map of pityusensis?
