The Little Owl is so cute! I am crazy about owls, so i`m just gonna go ahead and ask for the coolest of the all - the Tawny Owl. No rush, but when it`s gonna be ready, i`ll use it as a desktop wallpaper, on all the computers i use.

Thanks!

Though I rather prefer good photos compared to illustrations for correctly identification of species. I must say you are highly talented and should absolutely try to make a career out of your hobby :D Either way I wish you good luck. My favorite of the drawings you posted was the the green toad!

Kind regards
Kriss

:?: The toad is by a different person than the other drawings.

Maybe it makes for an interesting debate, but as a biologist I obviously do not agree that photos are better than (good) drawings :!:

Jeroen

Im interested in your comment

Can you expand on that a little?

As a Law enforcement person, rather than a biologist, I favour photographs over illustrations for ID purposes, however in publications I feel there should be a balance of both.

Presumably each illustration is still, however slightly, effected by the artists personal view of the animal, and artistic intereptation. Also, presumably, unless all the illustrations are done from life in the field, they must be taken from photographs in the first place.

I agree that illustrations can highlight certain characteristics but so can a decent photograph.

Just my two penneth :D

Regards

Paul
