Now when tech issues are left behind, and after you finish the new database, working Lightbox feature is good baseline for huge future image gallery?

Yes, it would be nice if it grows to a nice gallery besides a great literature database!

Today I´ve finished now the vipers list --- yes I´m a viper boy and don´t be ashamed
Also, there are up to 15 pictures at each species possible (in some allready done). But an extension is possible every time.
If you would like to contribute some pictures, you will find the info-form on the opening page.

To check the new things and also a bit layout changes (I was told to make a fixed width), please go to the "free" version: http://vipersgarden.at/cascade/index.php.
The members issue will be updated in a few days!

Cheers
Mario

Up to now 142 species are in the Vipersgarden Amphibians and Reptiles Database (now many Amphibians [Urodela] too), but at many species pictures are missing (none or only a few, sometimes scanned from old slides).
So contributors of pictures are welcome ;)
If you are interested, please download the info sheet from the database opening page!

Thanks,
Mario

Mario, I want to contribute photos but how do I do it for species already existing in the database? Do I have to fill in the info sheet or just send you the photos since you already have published this info on the website!

And another thing - I don't know if it's just me but when I enter the database through the forum I have the 'download' option only for the first species I choose, than when I choose another species I can't download the articles and I have to go back to fieldherping.eu to re-enter the database!

Ilian (and all others),

yes, please use the info sheet, although you would like only add pictures to species, where pictures are online allready!
(Just fill in the picture data, as given in the example. So I will know some data on the animal on the picture).

Thanks
Mario

The database goes on!

Bugs repaired: now the PDF-Link is really working (for fieldherping.eu members)
    Now 273 species inside
on top of the literature you see now links to PDF to descriptions of (sub)species, if those are inside the db (examples: Ablepharus budacki, Algyroides marchi, Bunopus tuberculatus; up to the end of "B" now - although for members only

But at many species pictures are missing (if you are interested to share some, please use the INFO-sheet from the starting page).

The Amphibians and Reptiles Database contains now 429 species and 1043 pictures ;)
For example, I have finished now nearly the Lacertidae (~90%).
Therefore I would like to ask you again, to share some pics for the DB (don´t care, if "your" species is not online at the time). I will add it, after getting the pics!
Please use the form below to give some details on the pic :D
