Hello from the french part of Switzerland !

Postby Stéphane Aubry » Mon Mar 26, 2012 4:24 pm

Hello everybody,

After more than 30 years of birding, I'm back in the herping world, the passion of my youngest years !

I hope to be able to share my pictures and field observations mainly from the western (french) part of Switzerland !

My pics of birds, reptiles and other subjects are here : http://pbase.com/stephaubry

All the very best !

Welcome Stéphane,

I really like your photos! I checked them briefly but will be back to see more.
Birding in the Alps can be very interesting. I have been there once always enjoyed spotting some birds. When the weather gets nice although, I switch to herping ;)

Kind regards,

Tim

Thank you Tim,

The Alps are fantastic and I love to go there. But I live near a large lake at the foot of the Jura Mountains. It is an area still rich and contrasted. We pass quickly from swamps at 430 m. to Jura "peaks" at 1400 and 1600 m. There are also some good spots for herping ;)

All the best

I've been in the Jura mountains but then the French district. A bit lower in altitude but still very nice landscapes etc.Walking through the mountains can be quite inspiring!
Hope to return to the Jura and go a bit more towards the Swiss border, Wallis etc.!

Best regards,

Tim
