Hi everyone!

Hi everyone!

I´m Julius Zidorn from Hamburg, Germany.
I´m 13 years old.
Reptiles and amphibians are one of the most important parts of my life.
Local herping is relatively easy, as there are many good places around.
My favourite snake is the Four-lined Snake, I´ve seen one at Limni Mikri Prespa, but no foto :(
My knowlegde is quite good, and every year I make a herpetological trip with my father.
Two nice weeks in the Alps, ten rainy days around Málaga, and a wonderful Prespa trip this year.

Next year, I´m planning trips to SW-Spain, Sierra de Gredos and Lesvos.

No fotos yet, but it would be nice if you could tell me a website or something where I can make my pictures smaller (they are from 3 to 11 MB big).

Best regards,
Julius

Welcome Julius. It must be great to have a father with similar hobby. You can make photographs smaller by adjusting a camera or using program like PhotoScape or Picassa.

....or you download "Irfanview" from this webseite: http://www.irfanview.de/

For no money quite a lot of features - and it is in German too!

Thank you for that hints. The first pictues will follow soon.
I know, this isn´t allowed in this forum, but it would be great if somebody could give me some hints for further herping via
e-mail.
Then I could find much more.

Best regards,
Julius

Welcome to the Forum. Nice to see also young people here. I´m 22 and had the same interest when I was in your age, too. So if you come across the south of Germany and like to see some southern species (don´t know which exact you have) write a short message to me some days before.

Regards Dominik

Great, Dominik!
I look forward to it. I come to Aalen (my grandparents live there) regularly, next year maybe March an in my summer holidays.
In this region I´ve seen four species of reptiles and three species of amphibians, but only the usual suspects.
No luck with the Smooth snakes, one seen, none photographed....... :(

Best regards,
Julius

Hi,

@ Bobby: Maybe one or two weeks, and the pictures are here :-) Have seen some of your reports. Really great!
@ Niklas: I´ve written it, too big, but I´ll put them in the right size....

Best regards,
Julius
