Hello,
I am Ronald Zimmerman. I am a biology teacher from the Netherlands (Zaandam but originally Den Helder). I found this site when I did some determination on some photos that I made on a recent trip.
I found out that I know some people here and that I was already on the forum (half naked). I decided to join.
As a child I always liked looking for frogs and toads (Rana temporaria, Bufo bufo, Bufo calamita) and the smooth newt. I was also into dinosaurs like all kids of my age (Jurassic Park). After that I didn't do anything with it untill I wanted to become a biology teacher. During my study I made some nice trips and the Vipera berus and Hyla arborea stole my heart. I also went to Costa Rica (nice) and saw some very nice reptiles and amphibians. By the time I wasn't into photography yet. Now I am.
Now I am the kind of guy that has always a camera with him on a trip. I love it! But I am a bit of a rookie when it comes to herping.
This is what I do now:
Mauremys leprosa
Podarcis muralis
Quedenfeldtia trachyblepharus
Coronella austriaca
Vipera ammodytes
