New kids in the field

Postby Tomaz Jagar » Fri May 07, 2010 2:46 pm

Hello everyone, I would like to introduce me and my girlfriend Erika Ostanek since we mostly use my account here :)
We're 22 and 20 year old biology students at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, and we're both interested in the herpetofauna of Europe and its conservation.
We're both members of Societas Herpetology Slovenica and also we collect field data on reptile distribution in Slovenia for the Slovenian Reptile Atlas project.
There's also our own project in the making, a book about the reptile species of Slovenia, which is due to finish in a year or so.
We too keep some herps at home, so far only North American colubrids but we'll be expanding our collection soon :) Ofcourse we're only interested in captive born specimens with proper EU paperwork.

Welcome Tomaz,
it is nice to see more and more younger people interested in European nature!
Please note that it could be critical to promote home keeping of endangered European snake species in this public forum...

I just hope you don't use that gloves for ammodytes. ;)

Don't worry, ammodytes deserves only the finest welding gloves :D Although I avoid using gloves altogether, tubing is my prefered method when handling vipers.
