Brownsberg is really good spot for herping. Good thing is that you can go herping around the accomodation on the trails in the park. The manager allowed us to go herping at night. Poisson dart frogs even on the campground are easy to find (phyllobates vittatus). We found them even in the toilets. Around the waterfall there we found mating atelopus.

Wow, great trip, the vipers are fantastic, but do not miss the opportunity to see the Gorillas, fantastic experience !!

We first thought we were going to Morocco in May but it looks like we're going to Turkey (Adana area). Might be around the 5th of may to the 12 ou 13th

For sure, it is expensive but we are going to try and see them! I want a picture of Atheris nitschei with a family of gorilla's in the background :lol:

Hello everybody,

so our plans for 2018 are:

end of March till mid of April: Morocco, especially the south to see some snakes

in May: a few days in Croatia; and a short visit in Carinthia

July: Malaysia and Borneo

that's it so far.

Thanks for the info Pieter! I will certainly go to Brownsberg. Don't want to miss Atelopus :D
