Yesterday i went birding in the second largest wetland in Romania besides the Danube Delta, located just a half hour drive from home. I am not a big fan of mud and reeds as i preffer to snakehunt only in the driest of steppes ;) but when migration is in full blast it`s better to be a bit more flexible.

I did see some Marsh frogs, Eastern Green Lizards and Dice Snakes, but then again so have most of you, so i`ll just stick to posting some pictures of feathered reptiles. ;)

Nightingale (Luscinia megarhynchos)

So here it is, the elusive Little Crake, allways lurking between the dense reeds, testing the birder`s ID skills and the photographer patience, especialy the one using a P&S camera!

Right you are, the little crake is very very difficult to see let alone to take a picture.

Congrats,

Miguel
