Once in a blue moon i visit the alpine meadows located on top of our highest mountains in hope of once again encountering a live adder...
Still no berus to show for all my trouble, but i ticked two lifers today and even managed to photograph one of them, so i`m pretty excited.

: around 2000 masl

Guess this skittish year list tick will have to do herpwise.

: Zootoca vivipara, in situ

The fast and furious Crag Martins (Ptyonoprogne rupestris) were way out of my camera`s league, but i think it did a pretty decent job on the slow and curious Alpine Accentor (Prunella collaris).

Nice one Vlad. It's always nice to see something new. Nice scenery up there too. I think now it is getting towards the time of year when I too will be looking for birds instead of herps!

This were the Fagaras Mountains, aka the Transilvnian Alps. Still can`t believe it`s been eleven years since my last visit :shock:
