Winter is coming soon: this evening, a noisy flok of about 100 Grus passed the city on its way south.

Hard times for fieldherpers!

It sure is, that's why I switch to birding during the winter months so I have a good excuse to be out

But amazing to see so many grus together, almost equals herping!
