Giant spider and more

I went out a couple of times this month, but found nothing special or at least worth posting here. But since today while herping along the Danube i found the biggest spider ever :shock: , i`ll also share some other critters as well. :)
My favorite amphibian; from Moldavia:

Oh for a european spider it is big! But in Italy I found bigger ones, I wa shocked when I lifted the rock :lol: These wolfspiders are very impressive when you see them for the first time, but I think they can get even bigger. Especially the gravid females!

Hey Vlad,

nice to see some amphibian activity out there! Although the pictures have a melancholic touch - trapped treefrogs and lonely spadefoot toads, and a marsh frog sitting on the litter someone left in his pond...

I think the spider is not only really huge, but also particularly beautiful! And usually I do not exactly have a soft spot for spiders. ;)
