A summer in Catalonia

Postby Guillaume Gomard » Sat Jul 10, 2010 3:42 pm

Two years ago, I spent the whole summer in Catalonia, Spain; and had the chance to explore many times the "Parc del Garraf". Because of the high temperatures reached during this time of year, I found mainly insects, and in particular many Buthus occitanus . In the pictures below, the scorpions are placed on rocks or directly on the ground, but I actually found them hidden under rocks and stumps, in all cases. You can also see some young scorpions that I observed at the end of this summer.

Thanks, I especially like the first ones which are much more orange compared to the ones that we find here in France.
