Itsy Bitsy Spider

Postby Vlad Cioflec » Wed Jan 05, 2011 7:39 am

Hi guys,

We found this creepy crawly yesterday near my daughter`s bed. I dunno about my wife but i sure was really happy to see some wildlife, as no interesting things showed up these last few days with all the crappy weather and all.

Now, is it a really venomous species ;) that i should know about and move it to another quieter room, or can i just leave it be?

No idea what this is ;)

Steatoda triangulosa

Thanks a lot Edvard!

I`ve googled it and turned out this :

They are not aggressive.
Other, larger members of the Steatoda genus do have medically significant bites, but there are no recorded bites or envenomations by this spider.

I`ll let him go about his business then. ;)
