Hi all,

I'm a mature student, reading BSc (Hons) Animal Conservation and Biodiversity at Greenwich University. I've always had a passion for 'exotic' species, especially the vipers and crocs but am slightly ashamed to say that, until recently, I never paid much attention to our fantastic native herps.

I plan to change all that now, and am about to start my final year research project on Vipera berus, so will no doubt be driving you all mad with questions shortly :) Forum looks great!

The following photos are some of my herpy highlights from a recent trip to South Africa, where we tagged and tracked black mambas and forest cobras as part of an on-going behaviour study:

Welcome Rebecca. Great Naja pic, do you have any of the Mambas?! I am also at university, studying animal behavior, and am about to begin my final-year research project on Vipera berus too! Would you mind telling us more about what it is about adders you will be studying? I'm very interested to hear about this.

Best regards from the north

Becky,

Good to see you on Saturday, looking forward to your input on the KRAG adder project :D an interesting season ahead! Can I ask you not to mention any details of the site we are going to survey/ habitat manage, in Tonbridge. People registered on the forum are sound, but there are lots of unregistered guests.. if we can keep disturbance of this great new area to a minimum so much the better.

Love the gabonica :D

Daniel, Becky has her own project closer to her location, which I am sure she will discuss with you, the project on behalf of KRAG that Becky is assisting me on, I think is very interesting and I will PM you the details.

Kind regards

Paul
