For your reports/images, made outside Europe and the "Mediterranean" countries. Not to be too narrow minded and limited to our European/Mediterranean herps.
Thanks for your exotic pictures! The Boiga is amazing! Could you tell us where your found the reticulated python (was it close to a village, deep in the forest...?). Have you already seen see turtles there?
(BTW, I don't know if it's done on purpose but you can also upload several pics in a time)
Last one for now. Crocodylus porosus from Kinabatangan River, Sabah - I have put this picture last because I will be going there again next week and hopefully will be able to get more exiting spesies from that particular area of Borneo. On my last trip all my camera gear got ruined by a heavy rain shower (40D,Tokina 300mm F2.8, and a Sigma 150mm macro) luckily I had a good company insurance and now havfe a new 7D, Canon 300mm F4, and a 100mm IS, all going for thir virgin trip to SouthEast Asia:P
The Reticulated was found in the forest a few meters from a tributary to Kinabatangan River. My rough estimate would position it roughly 800meters from the nearest house.
Indeed I have seen Turtles - Olive Ridleys and Leather Backs - no pictures of those though, my encounters have been at special "Turtle" islands, where you can only use camera without flash and at night time, so have not bothered:)
And I used to work with Terrapines and Tortoises in Indonesia - so have met 12-15 spesies there - 4-5species of snake necked.
Haha I was not aware about uploading several pictures to one post NO... Old habit from another forum where each post is numbered so readers can refer to a post number.
Great pictures. I especially like the amphibian variety. The golden-eyed Duttaphrynus is pretty interesting. Do you have a pig with a normal looking eye?
