Any more info on the Duttaphrynus. Were both eyes that opaque colour or just the one in shot? I have never seen that before.

You already have a great selection of S.E.Asian herps. What parts of Sabah are you heading for - maybe Pulau Tiga? Looking forward to the next set of pictures.

There were other D. melanosticus on the location and they did not display this defect/damaged or perfectly normal eye:P

Will go on the usual round:) KK-Teuku Abdul Rahman Marine Park (might be what you refer to as Tiga Pulau), Poring hotsprings, Sabah Tea Plantation, Bilit (Kinabatangan), Sepilok, Pulau Selingan.
I hope to find a few frogs in kinabalu park. and with alittle luck 2-3 Boiga species at Kinabatangan, and of course the turtles at P. Selingan. Let see in a few weeks and I am back:)

Pulau Tiga is not part of T.A.R. but further south, accessed via Kuala Penyu. It fairly easy to get to but probably best to organise accommodation on the island in KK. It has some of the biggest V.Salvator I have seen and also a short boat trip gives access to "Snake Island." Yellow Lipped Sea Krait (Laticauda colubrina) come ashore and lay up among the rocks. It is also a beautiful place and worth a visit if you get chance.

Unfortunately I wont have the chance this time around. There are a few species of sea snakes that come up on the beach at Selingan island too - never got around taking photoes of them though.
