4 Belgians, 2 weeks, AZ

For your reports/images, made outside Europe and the "Mediterranean" countries. Not to be too narrow minded and limited to our European/Mediterranean herps.

Chaps,

Just to clarify and contextualise.. I have been lucky enough(being an old git) to herp in many places around the globe.. and the only continents I havnt herped on are the ones covered in snow :D

I am not saying European herps are better than the rest of the world, just that they are not boring, as my snake food loving friend stated :D

I completely agree with Jeroen, to me it does not matter what the target species is, a toad to a large venomous snake, its the excitement of the chance encounter and seeing the animal in its natural environment.. its worth the saving, ear bashings from the girlfriend, hours of no sleep, crap food and queueing at Customs :D

Cheers Paul

I will agree that I can get excited about any target whatsoever.

You probably found my 1000 posts on here already, but feel free to drop by on a top night and you can get to see >100 ;)

How far from the border can you pick me up from? I'd have to come by public transport. But you best your ass I'll be there one day. Salamandra > most US salamanders, and that's saying a LOT. It might be worth mentioning tghat I raised the total number found in the Netherlands in 2012 from 11 to 13 a few weeks ago. ;)

I am so jealous. That's a breathtaking post. I especially love the canyon treefrog. Sonoran desert toad, green toad and red-spotted toad are all awesome finds. And the snakes, too, of course.

Aha! Of course, you've got to love those amphibians too - it's not all about the serpents ;)

You know there's public transport in my ape country too ;)
Just give it some time and hit me by e-mail and all will work out some day ;)

I do love amphibians more than serpents, but I have to admit that there are some incredibly cool looking snake species in the US that deserve the attention. *g*
