Tanzania (the report is up now)

For your reports/images, made outside Europe and the "Mediterranean" countries. Not to be too narrow minded and limited to our European/Mediterranean herps.

DAMN! Killer post! Phrynomantis is incredible. Love a lot of the shots in here, my favorites being the lion with the mountains in the background and the zebra shots. Crazy.

Great!
Nice pictures indeed

Did you had any issues with traveling overthere (safety etc.)?

No problems whatsoever. Tanzania is a safe and relatively easy country to travel as long as you're sensible (behave correctly, check the security in different areas, don't walk around at night and don't show any valuables and be aware of pickpockets). The only annyoances were touts at bus stations and in Zanzibar's Stonetown (the former is universal, the latter was just too much), and people trying to get that extra bit of money off you - "mzungu price". However, this was surprisingly rare.

Tourism in Tanzania was rather strange. Rich mzungus (white people) don't mix with the locals and tend to stay locked away in their expensive lodges and resorts and getting driven around in 4x4s. As my partner is well used to mixing with the locals and understands how things work, combined with our low budget for the trip, meant that we spent pretty all of our time with tanzanians. Friendly people who really seemed to appreciate mzungus mixing with them (and posing for photos with them). Interaction was occasionally a bit strange, but never in a negative way.
