Sri Lanka 2014 July

For your reports/images, made outside Europe and the "Mediterranean" countries. Not to be too narrow minded and limited to our European/Mediterranean herps.

That Ahaetulla nasuta eating sequence is awesome !
You got some nice behaviours to photograph so far. Congrats !

I think some may not answer because we're currently stuck in the office and we really would like to be there

You saw a lot of excellent herps, Michal! I love all the agamids, especially the weird-looking ones with funny snouts or crazy long legs. And it must have been great to watch so many monitor lizards going about their daily business. The one returning from a tide pool is especially interesting.

I always like to see the herps that can be found by just looking around in hotel grounds, roadsides, etc. One should never stop herping.

That Trimeresurus trigonocephalus is gorgeous!

Some of the frogs are really nice also. I particularly like Pseudophilautus sordidus and Nannophrys ceylonensis.

Your photos really capture the feel of the trip, as well as the cool herps that you saw there. It makes me look forward more to my planned trip to Sri Lanka later this year.
