Great stuff, impressive species list! Some very nice scenery pictures as well Laura!

Edit: by the way, the small woodpecker from July 13th would be Downy woodpecker (Picoides pubescens) or Hairy woodpecker (Picoides villosus). Can't really see on the low-res picture.
Parrot from July 21st: Red-masked parakeet (Aratinga erythrogenus) (exotic species)

What a trip! You guys are going to make me love salamanders :) A lot of really great pictures, I particularly love the Crotalus cerastes and assume that encountering the bear was a fantastic moment. Thanks for sharing and good luck for your return in our cold Europe :D

As everyone else has already said - great pics and nice reports from what seems like a great trip :)

Nice species list & it's clear you had to work for your finds, so they're well deserved. Some of my favourites are the little horned lizard & the rubber boas but there are many others.

I guess your woodpecker would be hairy rather than downy as downy to my knowledge never have a yellow crown, hairy only rarely. Also, there is considerable size difference between the two. Downy are tiny and while size is not obvious in the pic it doesn't quite seem that small.

Very nice! I told you you'd find more species than me ;). Very jealous of the Dicamptodon. Haven't read all yet, but did you try Hydromantes?

What a great collection of species and beautiful images! I didn't know that there are so many species of salamanders in that area. My favourite is the rubber boa.
