Trimeresurus, species ID (Southern Thailand)

Dear fieldherping people

Can anyone help identifying this Trimeresurus species? It is a juvenile.
I saw it in Southern Thailand, in the Krabi Province (inland hills with rainforest at an elevation of 200 meters).
The snake was on the ground (first photo), then I gently placed it on a branch to get a closer look.

Would be happy if anyone could help.

Regards,
Tobias

That's what I thought too, but no field experience in the area (yet).

Your Trimeresurus is a young Trimeresurus fucatus, one of the more common palm pit vipers in this area :)

Thank you for your interest in the snake ID.

I just got an email from an expert in Trimeresurus. He says right away that the species is Trimeresurus fucatus, the Siamese Penninsula pit viper.

Greetings,
Tobias

Three other specimens from the Khao Yai National Park: all met on the road during the night.

Maybe the same species?
