Not fair starting a report with Amblyodipsas :)

I see you posted this on FHF as well. Great post with some wonderful species. I'm due KZN, but not for a good while. Apparently forest cobras are really common around there, which one wouldn't really expect for a large species. I guess the abundance of puffadders to feed on keeps the population strong.

Nice stuff, an keep 'em coming.

Thanks again guys!

Martti, when you plan on coming down let me know!
Yes, Forest Cobras are really common. They mainly eat toads, as there's PLENTY about, but they love rodents too and I'm sure they won't say no to a Puff Adder!

Thanks Bobby!

No I haven't, but I'd love to! I've always wanted to make a trip to Zambia especially. Looks like a beautiful country with beautiful wildlife.

Hey GertJan

The end of January-February is probably the best time as that's the warmest time of year. But anywhere from December up until April are pretty good too.
Glad you like the photos!

Interesting - usually the warmest time of year is not the best snake time. What kind of temperatures are there in that warmest time (day max and night)? How much of the snake hunt goes on at night?
