Oman March 2015

For your reports/images, made outside Europe and the "Mediterranean" countries. Not to be too narrow minded and limited to our European/Mediterranean herps.

Thomas, we tried the Cobra two times, but no success.
There was no big different to find Herps between the green and the dry Season.

– während ich noch mit meinen Kameraeinstellungen kämpfte (Notiz an mich: In Zukunft vor Beginn einer Nachtexkursion herausfinden, wie das Blitzlicht funktioniert – Anfängerfehler #1)

learning never ends
and, as usual, fantastic pictures!

Didn`t I told you that Oman is a Gecko-country, Snakes are just “by-catch”?

No, actually this trip was sold a blasting snake spectacle. But I agree: Who needs Echis if there is 25 species of Hemidactylus...

Now, is your Rhynchocalamus arabicus still a Rhynchocalamus or a Muhtarophis gen. nov.
Released yesterday:

To avoid "Hoser" people it´s needed to keep everything in secret. But sometimes even keeping things in secret you can be betrayed by the revisor of a Journal or something like that. This is a shame! Although at least these guys didn´t get a sample of arabicus for their tree
