Thanks! CR is a good country to travel around with kids, as long as you get the kids into the art of herping it will only be better, I had my moments every night and it looks like one big party, but I had several nights without any good finds.
You probably all know that whatever you do there is alway one eye open for animals, even during the day doing some family stuff.
Niklas, I don't know either, I put in a lot of effort for the glass frogs and some of them are really hard to get in front of the camera, nothing more frustrating then hearing them the whole night and not being able to get to them.
Tim, this is only around 25- 30% of what you can find there, maybe I go back one day for some specific searches...more salamanders, Atelopus species, Anotheca spinosa, Agalychnis spurelli adults, Agalychnis saltator(only heard it) Hypsiboas rufitelus.......and some other glass frogs and as many snakes as possible....I remember walking in a known area for the boss of the forest, checking the many holes everywhere, very exciting!!
Thanks Marti, Peter & Kristian
