Who can help me with the ID of this lizard from Macedonie. I suppose it is a Lacerta viridis ? (subadult)
Sincere thanks!

I am not sure - I even doubt - this is a Lacerta viridis.
Would be interesting, the exact location the specimen is from.

Here are 2 young specimens of Lacerta trilineata from northern Greece (Macedonia) from the same location. green and brown individuals together.
And, for sure, no Lacerta viridis is there - much to dry ;)

Mario, you do have a point. The one from your first photo looks very similar...

Scalation hard to make out. Maybe we'll never know?

Most likely.

Seems to have fewer and larger temporal scales which would indicate viridis but as Jeroen pointed out scalation is difficult to make out.

Mario, there are viridis in northern Greece. And at least in Bulgaria I've found them in rather dry places, and very close to the Bulgarian/Greek border as well. So are you completely sure that the one from your first photo is trilineata?

YES, the point closest was approx. 50 or more kilometers away.
I was wrong with the greece district. it is northern Thessalia.
here a picture from the location

And, v. meridionalis lives in much more dry localities than v. viridis, living in northern central Greece, e.g. at Olympos mountain, Ossa mountain, Pinios delta.
