Gosh, Mamy, Donna and Rap! Only familiar faces there :D Nice to see they're doing fine. Does Rap finally handle snakes or is he still scared of them?

Thanks for sharing, brings back good old memories. Madagascar is really a very cool herping place isn't it? ;)

Hey Bastien,

It was pretty awesome! We ended up having quite unseasonable weather but still found loads - so I can't imagine the fun you guys had when you went during Jan/Feb!

They were all great guys! I could be wrong but I think the Stenophis variabilis we got on the last night may have been the first snake Rap had held - don't think he was too keen!

Thanks again for the advice!

Awesome trip report, Mada is a true herping paradise!

Can't believe you found three stenophis... three trips there and I found two !
And the Acrantophis was a nice one! Big and fat.

Thanks for sharing!

It is such an awesome destination - I'm just disappointed it took me so long to finally visit!

Yannick - it felt like I was always chasing an unattainable species count as Mamy kept on reminding me how many snakes you guys found. In the end I guess I'll take 3 Stenophis as a minor victory  !

Nice one Neil, what a great trip to such a fascinating destination.

Loved the Phelsuma shots. The thought of finding those stunning lizards in the wild is reason enough to make the trip.

Raises the question, where next?
