Two years ago my wife and I went on a three weeks trip to Sri Lanka. Despite the time we spend on cultural activities and travelling long distances, I could have a joyable time with herping in and around some national parcs. Needless to say that searching at night was very rewarding too. We visited the following national parcs; Sinharaja rainforest, Minneriya, Horton plains and around Wilpattu. Most species where found around the parcs by walking alone. Walking by yourself in the parcs is not allowed without guide but at the edge of parcs there are as much herping possibilities as in the parcs.
