I was in Belize for quite some time, the time for herping was very limited, here some pics of the herps I managed to shoot with my camera's
Most of the photos are made with a small digital camera, a few with D-SLR.

Thanks Andre, the fer de lance at the top (70cm)was very easy to photograph, not agressive at all, despite its reputation over there.

The Jumping viper was only 12 cm and didnt move a bit while photographed.

Very nice pics from Central America :o
But I´m not sure, if the second marinus is really one (glands, ridges on head and neck, spines on front legs, ......)!?
But also no idea, what else it could be!

.... and this red Colubrid - amazing!

Mario,

The second one is not a marinus, but a Campbell's rainforest toad (Bufo Campbelli), there were only 3 Bufo species overthere, the 3rd one was the Gulf coast toad (Bufo Valliceps), this one I saw the most, but somehow I dont have any photos of it.

The red snake I saw 2 times, dont know for sure what it is, but I think it is a Freminville's scorpion-eating snake (Stenorrhina Freminvillei).
More pretty snake species were seen, but because of "local knowledge" they were all killed before I was around, with every snake they see they yell fer de lance and start chopping it to pieces.
So thats why I had some local "brave menn" on the bbq....
