Ahh, Paul, I fear there is something in your report that is not quite true......you mention your wonderful girlfriend. So, does that mean the night in Thessaloniki, where you were Ronan Keating, and I Stephen Gately, meant nothing???

And by the way chaps - that's not tea he drinks........

I joke of course: Paul is as straight as an Avocet's beak.

For the record Paul, your bird of prey is a Steppe Buzzard, Buteo buteo vulpinus, as told by its unfeathered legs, faint bars in the tail and extent of yellow on the bill.

Ho hum

Sean

Ah Sean...

I have told you before, if I ever decide to bat for the other team it will be with someone much younger and fitter than you :D and also a hard core herper not a bed wetting birder :D

Awesome trip reports with a stunning diversity in species. I also love that little video, that snake really has some attitude. As for the total count of 42 species ... I think my herp life list has much less than this, so all would be lifers for me ... so no need to complain, this looks like it had been the hell of a cool trip.

Looks like a very nice adventure and very nice findings.
Even though we had a dry year; you found an impressive number of species.
Hope to see you in Israel soon.
