Platyceps sp. "gender confusion":
Platyceps is masculine without doubts!
"tessellata" and "subnigra" have to be turned to masculine, when using them without var(ietas), last one is feminine. And attributes, like tessellata and subnigra have to use the gender, to whom they are connected. So Platyceps rhodorhachis var(ietas) tessellata, but Pl. tessellatus and Pl. rhodorhacis var. subnigra, but Pl. subniger.
