A great report.. nice to see sun and salamanders.. and a clean sweep.. I am so CDO( OCD in the right order) It warms my cockles to see a completed tick list..

I had a good perusal of your website.. loved it.. even if a lot of the trip reports were in some bibily bong language... :D

Cheers Paul

Would be nice if I had the time to translate all the older reports, sadly I'm lazy and quite busy at the moment, all the new reports will be in English though...

Daniel Kane wrote:Cool trip Bobby & friends! Well done for finding all the salamander targets :)

We only missed Salamandra infraimmaculata, but we knew that one would be hard to find at this place and this time of year.

My mistake, I meant Lyciasalamdra targets

I meant to ask before, did you see Phoenicolacerta in the ruins/dunes themselves, or in the town? What about the arachnids too?

Not taking anything away form such a great trip - you certainly did well for that time of year - but you couldn't come across any Macrovipera while you were in the east? ;)

Only about 30 juveniles....

The P. laevis we saw next to the road near the sidewalk, none were seen inside the ruins. The arachnids from that day are all from the atifi spot we visited.

It is the best description for that euphoric moment!

Dominik Hauser wrote:Bobby, very nice report :). Whats the name of the song in your video, is it from the new Kids Film? :D

Guilty!!!

Finding so many salamanders and hohenackeri + getting chased by angry turks: seems like a perfect herping trip!

It really was, already planning on going again next year, but then maybe to some less explored areas for Lyciasalamandra, more to the east or go to Israel.
