My girlfriend and I decided to have two weeks in the west of Cyprus this summer. As expected, temperatures were hot and days were long. And mostly spent by the pool. All in all seven native species were seen; Troodos lizard, agama, snake-eyed lizard, black whipsnake, striped skink, spiny-footed lizard and a small ocellated skink. Only three individual snakes were seen; one DOR and two sub-adults (half brown, half black) hunting in the Tombs of the Kings. Anyway, here are photos of some of what we came across.
Sorry about the lack of snakes Perhaps Peter (at least) may find the lizard shots interesting.
