Very good looking Natrix natrix (TR)

These two Natrix natrix "persa", both males, have been found by us in the early eighties between Ilgaz and Tosya (southern slopes of Pontus mountain chain, Turkey).
They belong to the best looking Grass snakes, I´ve ever seen!

WOW! Definitely a very good looking Natrix! The colors are very contrast and the first male looks,somehow bluish! Amazing snakes!

I agree with Jurgen. Even the first photo shows maybe the nicest water snake I´ve seen in my life. The body is totally BLUE¿? I´ve seen a really awesome astreptophora (green-blue colours):

but this "persa" individual is too much blue!! Turkey must be a nice place to herp...

Hmm, very nice natrix indeed.
But blue??? For me blue looks different - and at least after using ps autocolor and autocontrast there is no blue left.

well, don't trust auto functions on photoshop. I corrected manually the white balance and it's really a light blue color! Less blue than this, but still blue. very nice!

What is your reference point for gray (or white) in the picture? I wouldn't trust manual correction without someone having been there at the particular daytime with particular lighting in mind.

my reference is the grass and moss color, also the color of the dry dead leaves.
