I very much liked reading your report. Having been in the Dhofar area together with Jürgen in September, I had to realize that it was very hard to find herps in the end of the "green season", too.

Thank you guys! Yes indeed, it was a fine and safe trip, which ain't that usual in Arabian coutries that days. Beside the nice reptile findings there were so many really enjoying days with fantastic bathing in the Wadis and unbelievable landscapes.
Sorry for confusing a Dutch guy with a Belgian - at least they sound the same for us ;)

One of the best reports I have seen of this amazing country! So many species and so many of the highlight species. Such a pity of all the dead Varanus but those Eryx make up for a lot I reckon, that would be on top of my list if I ever go to Oman! And all the swimming in the Wadis, the gecko diversity, the picture with all the herons... Yes I love it!
