Hi everyone,

I'm thinking of a herping trip to Cyprus late october in the Paphos region. Is there a good chance to find most of the occuring species at this time of the year? I heard that it's very dry on Cyprus in october and therefore it maybe will be hard to find some water in the area of Paphos. Despite, I still hope to find all the species of amphibians, but is this realistic at this time of the year? Pelophylax should not be that hard to find when there is some water but for Hyla and Bufotes? And what is the best way to search for Macrovipera lebetinus and other snakes?

Thanks for the advice!

Best wishes,
Zyas

Hi. For snakes I recommend to search for them at night with a torch. This is how I found Telescopus fallax ssp. cyprianus in August.
