Go ahead and be silly. To my knowledge and (limited) experience, skinks in frost-free climates do not truly hibernate, but can benefit from sunny winter days. The same goes e.g. for Podarcis in the coastal areas of the Mediterranean.

Michal,

if you save UTM, thats no problem, I may "translate" it for you - just need the UTM (Polnish?) you saved them on your GPS.
Awaiting your pictures!

?

A half decent GPS should allow to change the units settings to automatically make the conversion, but I read that he simply tried to paste them into Google Maps, to no avail. You will see that the given example appears in the paper. Therefore, I concluded he wanted to find out where spots given in UTM are situated.

Like I said, with this web page, anyone can convert them, back and forth.

But maybe you are talking about batch conversion of entire lists of waypoints.

Yes, on Canary islands they have (maybe more) following UTM grids: MGRS military grid; PDLN = ?; GMT-9.
And yes, I can do a batch converting from/to every (at leat 90%) GPS format you want. Just need your original GPS file and in which format you want to have it.
But, for example if you use one of the Austrian grids (M30/M31) far outside, the difference will be some dozend (maybe hundreds) metres (own experience).

...... and if you have a waypoint - doesnt matter in which grid - you should be guided to the correct point (maybe with some dozens metres difference).

Are you talking about the UTM zones, Mario? (That's the 28R that he omitted, which is mentioned in the paper.)
Anyway, my conversion fits nicely with the figure in the paper ;)

What tool do you use for UTM conversions, Mario?

Yes, I meant the datum ;)
Strictly I use WGS84 for setting waypoints!
If someone needs UTM, I convert them.
When doing the distribution maps for our ursinii project in the Neusiedler See NP project, I used first the wrong grid (UTM M30 in stead of M31), the difference was aprox. 30 to 40 metres.

I use GPSU (full version).
The free version http://www.gpsu.co.uk/ has nearly the same features like the full version, but is restricted to 50 waypoints in each file.

Today in Barranco de la Tore I found only G. atlantica, It was very windy. But what about spot "D", I can't find in GoogleMaps similar place to this presented by Fig.1. as spot D. Could anyone mark this place?
