Hellow everybody,
I went recently with my family for some days to the south of Morocco. It was my firsf time in the area and it will not be the last I hope.
The trip was only partly herp orientated but as usually we saw quite some animals.
I need you help with a few lizzards. on this topic I have a few pics that I believe to be of Acanthodactylus aureus and of A. pardalis.
As for the juveniles, I have no idea to wich species they belong. Any help is highly appreciated.

Miguel

Hi Miguel, I think that the adult forms are well identified (three adults of pardalis complex and the last two of aureus). Most juveniles looks like aureus to me, because of their snout form, except for the first one...I dont sure with the first picture (maybe pardalis complex???)

Sorry for beeing late
Adults ok.
Juveniles:
3rd (looking into the camera): aureus.
the others are hard to determine, but all look like aureus.
Do you better pictures (crops) of the head (large 4th supralabiale)?

Hi Alberto and Mario,
Thanks for both replies. In the mean time I was already pretty confident about the adulds.
I saw some of Mario's pics from Tiznit on your site.
I could not find many info about the aureus to try and identify the juveniles.
I'll make a few crops in as high quality as I have.
It will be later in the day I think.

Thanks a lot for your help. The last 2 pics are from the same specimen . There were were a few adults is the area and it was a very sandy.I think based on the habitat that it might be aureus.
How do you identify them?
I will probably go back soon....
