Very nice species Ronald. I am specially surprised about the diversity of snakes. It´s not easy to find them, specially Daboia mauritanica are very shy. Did you find it in the habitat? in water tanks? road crossing during the night?

I guess that with this high activity you also found dozens of dead snakes on the roads

The Daboia was found in habitat at Tan Tan Plague (or just on the inside) - it was on the move when I saw it.

I was on Tan Tan Plage and saw no Daboia :(
Having said that, I saw no Snake south of the Atlas in July!
These are great finds Thor, well done. I am sure you enjoied the landscape and the tajines.
Did you sleep in a tent/ car to be "in situ" right on time? I missed sometimes the best time of the day on my way to the field.
