Here are some pictures of Fuerteventura.
We can find three endemic reptile species on this island
There is a tarent from geckonid family Tarentola angustimentalis, « el perenquén ».
We can also find a lacertid Gallotia atlantica mahoratae. One of the subespecies of Gallotia atlantica.
Finally we can find (or may I say we should find) a skink : Chalcides simonyi or "la lisneja"
I spent hours and hours, days and days looking for this rare and elusive reptile but there were impossible to find from La Oliva, Villaverde, to the top of Betancuria mountains.
I wanted to find some information in "la Estacion biologica de La Oliva" but I could not find this building in La Oliva. If someone from there is here, I would appreciate tha he writes to me.
We can also find other but introduced Gallotia species like Gallotia galloti eisentrauti in Esquinzo.
