Morocco in August -HOT!! but good...

Postby GertJan Verspui » Thu Nov 03, 2016 12:09 pm

In august I went to Morocco again, this time with Carl Corbidge and Matt Wilson.

They both had no idea on what to expect and neither did I, but I think we did a good job!

Freaking awesome! Great finds for the hot summer, and summer of 2016 was a good one for finding Varanus apparantly :D

Another beautifully illustrated report.. some stunning snakes.. particularly bitis... a genus I would love to see in the wild! And monticola is just snake porn.. Considering the conditions you chaps did splendidly..
yet again reading these reports I am climbing the walls waiting to go herping again
Roll on 2017!

Amazing finds and pictures! Vipera monticola, Bitis, Cerastes... I definitely have to go back in Morocco and take my revenge on this country.

Nice pictures and surely a great trip.
I like the varanus a lot what a nice find.
I also recognize where you had breakfast close to Guelmim. It is a great location to explore the area.
Have a great winter.
