Heath & Rocks

Postby Ilian Velikov » Thu Apr 12, 2012 8:07 pm

Last week we went to one of the heathlands on the coast of southern Dorset,England. It was not a herping trip at all and I didn't make any research before going there, but nevertheless, considering the huge area, we had a very good luck and managed to find four of the UK's six native species of reptiles on the heath and also other interesting wildlife on the cliffs along the coast. Here are a few photos.

On the cliffs there were a lot of nesting birds such as gulls, fulmar and...

Thank you all for the nice comments!

In reallity the adder was looking even better than on the photo. He was much more yellowish. I've never seen one like that before, most males I've seen are greyish.
