Video Herptrip Central France, Creuse

Postby Tim Leerschool » Tue Oct 23, 2012 11:06 pm

Hello everyone,

during May, together with two friends I headed to Central France. We had several recommendations about small camping in the Creuse, Central France. Centre Tigouleix is a small campsite and the manager of the campsite is a local (thankfully Dutch) herpetologist. All of us spoke French as well as we do Chinese ;)
Anyway, during our one week stay we made small videos of all our encounters. We managed to find all reptiles and amphibians in several days!
The video is a compilation of these videos and several photos we took during the week.

Hope you enjoy!

Let me know what you think, and if there are any questions, please feel free to ask!

Kind regards,

Tim

Nice video!

Looks like there is a "blasii" on day 1 ?!

Only seeing "normal ones" (marmoratus, cristatus, helveticus) in that shot.

@Mario: We indeed found hybrids of marmoratus x cristatus! The specimen we caught indeed showed signs of both species.

@ Bart: I'll be there next Spring to execute a field study. We'll probably see each other then!

I think Mario means the 'blasii' on day 3? On that shot several 'blasii' should be visible. As far as I can remember we didn't 'shoot' a 'blasii' on day 1.

Also from my side a thanks for the positive reactions.
