On March 12th I was working in Dorset in south UK and took a break from work to visit a P muralis site. The sun had been shining but there was still some snow on the grass at the top of the bank, the lizards live along a zig-zag wall that descends to the beach. The wind calmed down as I descended and the south facing walls felt slightly warm, as I neared the bottom I spotted my first P muralis of 2013. Apologies for the picture quality , I only had my phone with me.

Hi Kevin,

Those P.muralis along the zig zag and to the west of Bournemouth pier have remained active throughout the Winter. I'm not sure if that is usually the case. However it provides a nice 'reptile hit' during the cold times.

Known from over pretty much all of their natural and "unnatural" range.

Jeroen is right. Here's a guy found on the 13th of January 2007 in the vicinity of Zagreb:

The weather had broken and the sun was peeping through the clouds.
